The October & November Days To Mark To Celebrate Your Team
Sometimes, it's the little things.
Sure, there's EOFY, Easter, Christmas and all the big ones in between but sometimes isn't it nice to stop – smell the roses – and celebrate the little things?
That's when employee engagement truly shines – when you acknowledge your team when they least expect it. It's more authentic, genuine and hits home that little bit more – just like when your partner brings home flowers 'just because', or your parents treated you to extra Pokemon cards even though you weren't particularly 'good'.

The October & November Days To Mark To Celebrate Your Team
October
-
1st October: International Coffee Day – why not shout the team a round of free coffees or surprise them with a voucher to the local caffeine haunt? A coffee can go a long way in your day! Make it even sweeter and pop the voucher in a branded reusable coffee cup so they can remember your token of appreciation for times to come.
-
10th October: World Mental Health Day – we all know the importance of speaking up when it comes to mental health, so this day is one not to miss! From team building sessions to morning teas, in-house resources or even shouting a team-wide mental health day, you can make a huge impact while putting the wellbeing of your people first and foremost. It will certainly not go unnoticed.
- 18th October: Loud Shirt Day – Easy and pleasy! This is a harmless and fun way to spice up the mundane work week and get together for a laugh. Encourage everyone to wear a loud shirt to brighten up the day in the office. Or, go a level up and shout everyone a branded, loud tee they can hold onto and wear on a regular basis to put your brand rep and awareness on loud, too!
November
-
Month-long: Movember – A time to let our guys know their health matters and that it's okay to speak up! Organise a morning tea fundraiser, mental health spokesperson presentation, or arrange complimentary access to resources for your team to take time out to prioritise health checks and mental health moments. For the real cherry on top, pack up a few handy healthy items to get their work-life balance started with your brand all over it. Think items like a water bottle, gym towel, gratitude notebook, sunscreen.. just to name a few. Otherwise, just hand it all over to our team here with a budget and rough outline and we'll do the rest!
-
13th November: World Kindness Day – Is it so hard to be kind? We think not! Extend the gesture in the office and leave personal notes for your team, or arrange a lunch out of the office to spend time with each other. Otherwise, why not treat the team to some fresh work goodies? From new headphones (like these), to a cute tote, water bottle, t-shirt or even branded lollies. Something simple can go a long way (for your people and your brand).
-
16th November: International Day of Tolerance – A United Nations initiative, the day is to encourage and bring awareness to fostering a mutual understanding among cultures. This is a great reason to bring together your team and open the floor to sharing heritage and cultural identities. Add a little pizazz and encourage people to bring a dish from their heritage to make it more engaging.
- 30th November: Buy Nothing Day – Now, we're not sure about the legitimacy of this one! But hey, seems fun. Let your team take a break from the swiping and tapping and shout them epic, branded products to get them from the AM to PM so they don't have to buy anything that day! We're talking coffee cups, lunch boxes, t-shirts, caps, headphones and everything in between. This is a fun, engaging and light-hearted way to treat the team and give them a break from earning that cold hard cash.
