7 time-saving tips to use when ordering merch

Ordering merch doesn’t have to be a time-sucking black hole! With a few clever tricks up your sleeve, you’ll be breezing through your next order faster than you can say ‘custom t-shirt’! If you’re looking for a way to order merch quicker, easier, and stress-free – you're in luck! Here are seven time-saving tips to streamline your merch ordering process, straight from the mouth of the company whos #1 goal is to to make branded merch ‘easy as’.

1. Create an Account for Quick Reordering

First things first: save time by creating a Mercha account. Having an account lets you save your details, past orders, and favorite items. This means no more re-entering shipping info or searching for previous purchases. Reordering is a breeze with a simple click.

2. Order a Sample

Before you proceed with your merch order, order a sample so that you'll know exactly what and how the product looks and feels. Then there won't be any surprises when your order arrives and you won’t need to go through the process of finding a new product all over again. Get a sample, find what you like the best, then add to cart and checkout. It may add a few more business days to the merch process, but in the long run, you know you won’t regret your decision.

3. Have the Correct Artwork File

It is super important that you upload the correct files to your merch order. We only accept vector files like eps. or PDF. We also accept transparent background png’s. Please do NOT try and upload a Word Doc… it simply won’t upload. Having the correct files will make ordering your merch much faster.

4. Provide Your Pantone Colours

If you know your brand pantone colours, please provide them. This will give us more information to ensure your print is the accurate colour. You can include these in the artwork file itself (like the eps. file), or you can include it in the notes section of your cart.

5. Have Your Delivery Address Ready To Go

One thing that can slow down your merch order is figuring out where it's going. Is it heading to your office, your warehouse, or maybe a special event location? Once you submit that delivery address, it’s locked in, so make sure it’s the right one before you hit "submit." Trust us, the last thing you want is to realise too late that the delivery was sent to the wrong address, causing unnecessary delays. A little pre-planning can save you a lot of headaches down the road!

6. Need Your Merch by a Certain Date? Tell Us!

Got a big event coming up? Or maybe your team needs merch for a special occasion? No problem! Even if your event is months away, the earlier you let us know when you need your merch, the better. When you share your deadline upfront, we prioritise your order to make sure it arrives in time. Whether it’s a conference, a product launch, or getting ready for next weeks grand prix, we’ll make sure your order is on the top of the list. Giving us that heads-up means you get your merch when you need it, without the stress of last-minute panic. Future-you will thank you!

7. Use the Company Card When You Checkout

Let’s face it: chasing down invoices is a pain—especially when you're on a tight schedule and just want to get your order done! While we offer a direct debit option, using a company card when you checkout is the quickest, easiest way to avoid those back-and-forth emails. It’s all about making things smooth and simple for both you and us. When you pay straight away, we can focus on what matters: getting your merch to you, on time and hassle-free. Plus, it keeps everything organised and makes sure your finances stay on track. Win-win!

Bonus Tip: Delegate and Collaborate

If your team is involved in the process, designate someone to handle the merch ordering. This can streamline communication and prevent time wasted on endless back-and-forth. Plus, with online tools, collaboration is as easy as sharing links and design ideas.
